Rome’s transition to America

The Roman Eagle

In 586AD when Babylon the first Kingdom took Jerusalem & destroyed the temple, the bible referred to the coming of this beast as an eagle. Jeremiah 4: 13 mentions king Nebuchadnezzar coming like an eagle to destroy Jerusalem. Eagles are also prominent in Lamentations 4: 19 where it tells us Israel’s pursuers were “swifter than eagles of the sky.” Habbakuk 1: 8 also says, “Babylon was like an Eagle swooping to devour.” Sure enough, history shows Babylon did exactly as the bible said it would.

The next time the temple in Jerusalem was destroyed, it was at the hands of Rome, 70AD. Jesus earlier predicted this in 31AD when his disciples asked him when the stones of the temple would be thrown down & “what will be the sign of your coming & of the end of the age“ (Matthew 24: 2-3). Jesus told them of many signs to watch out for before the destruction of the temple and prior to the end of time. In Matthew 24 he mentions wars, pestilences, earthquakes, false messiahs, famines & persecution for the love of God – we are seeing these things take place today at a rapidly growing rate. These things also occurred in the lead up to the destruction of Jerusalem & the temple, just as he said they would. However, there was one very clear event he told them to look out for. He said, “when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation’, spoken of by Daniel the prophet” then know it is time to flee (Matthew 24: 15-20). So what was the ‘abomination that caused desolation’? Daniel amongst many other Books of the bible describes an abomination of desolation as the worship of false God’s in the holy place of God himself. This first happened in Ezekiel (Chapter 8) when the abomination which took place (worship of the Sun God Tammuz in God’s temple) lead to the destruction of the temple & the desolation of Israel at the hands of Babylon. So what happened to Jerusalem & the temple in 70AD? Luke 21: 20 says, “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out.” Did this happen?

When Cestius Gallus first besieged the city of Jerusalem in 66AD, many faithful Christians in the city observed the Roman legions kneeling down in the holy grounds outside the walls of the city. As the Roman soldiers knelt they and their Eagle Roman standards faced the sun & they worshipped the sun God Mithra on God’s Holy ground – it was an abomination. This was the abomination Jesus had warned of. Inexplicably though, the Roman leaders & their many legions got up and fled by foot back to Rome. However, instead of chasing after the Roman soldiers as many in Jerusalem did, God’s faithful had seen the signs and chose to flee Jerusalem – just as they were warned to. A few years later Vespasian & then Titus surrounded the walls, besieged Jerusalem & in 70AD everyone in the city perished. There was no escape. Again, for a 2nd time the eagle plays a prominent part in the fall of Jerusalem. The abomination which took place lead to the destruction and desolation of Jerusalem for those who had not paid attention to the signs Jesus had earlier told them to look for.

The Roman eagle standard has an eagle, head facing right, wings outstretched, in its talons the eagle has arrows, surrounding the eagle is a golden reef which represents the orb of the sun. The first thing Roman legions would do when besieging a city is they would stab their Roman standards into the ground and then kneel & worship them. When the Roman’s first beseiged Jerusalem they were actually rendering worship to the invincible Sun God Sol Invictus. In 63AD Pompeii adopted the eagle as the sole beast on the Roman standard.

The Signs

When the disciples asked Jesus about the fall of Jerusalem, they asked him what the signs would be. However, they really asked him two questions: In Matthew 24: 3 they ask “when will this happen (meaning the fall of Jerusalem), and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus response in Matthew 24 answers both questions. Remember, he said there would be wars, famines, pestilence, earthquakes, false messiahs. And then Jesus says, we are to look for an ‘abomination of desolation’, otherwise known as false worship in God’s place. So what is the end time ‘abomination of desolation we are to look for? We need to understand, that if history is correct (and it is) then the ‘abomination of desolation’ which happened to literal people (Israel) in a literal location (Jerusalem) is to happen to everyone on earth at the end of times. It must have something to do with the sun & an eagle. There also must be a connection between the Roman eagle standard & a sign that God’s people are going to see at the end of time – telling them to flee, get out of the city!

To understand the abomination of desolation at the end of time, we need to investigate the great seal of the United States of America. Bible prophecy from Daniel to Revelation is very clear that as the papacy was wounded (1798) America was the rising power. Take a look at the US dollar bill.

The two circles on the US dollar bill are known as the two sides of the great seal of the United States. How important is the great seal? “The great seal, or state of arms is the official emblem of the United States. All judicial, legislative & executive (three branches of government) proclamations bear this seal. It certifies & authenticates all official acts of the Federal government. It must appear on all it’s authoritative laws & statutes” – Quaife, Weig & Appleman, History of the US Flag, p.115 The great seal is therefore, very important. On July 4, 1776 the Declaration of Independence from England was signed. Afterwards, several committees convened and on June 20, 1782 the seal was adopted. It was adopted very early, even before a bill of Rights or constitution was established.
Opposing the image of George Washington on the right side of the dollar bill, the seal shows a native, Bald Eagle. The face of the Eagle is facing right & the wings of the eagle are outstretched. The talons of the Eagle are clutching arrows which is significant because at the time, the actual weapon used was muskets, not arrows. Above the eagle you also notice the sun rays breaking through the clouds – representing the dawn of a new nation. In the midst of terrible disasters which will become much more frequent (Matthew 24), things will fall apart in America. The government will enforce the day of the Sun (Sunday) to bring back peace & prosperity (Ellen White, Great Controversy p.588, 589). The great seal of America & that of the Roman standard are linked together. Matthew 24 has a duel fulfillment. It is fulfilled in the events which lead up to the destruction of Jerusalem & it will be fulfilled on a larger scale at the end of time. This means that in some sense, the Eagle & the Sun will again play a significant role. The United states testifies that it got it’s emblem from the Roman Empire. “The neo-classical spirit of America at the end of the eighteenth century looked to the ancient Roman Republic for many Symbols, including the name of the Upper Chamber of Congress (the Senate). In Rome the eagle began as a republican symbol; hence Americans chose their native bald eagle for the National Arms in 1782.” (Whitney Smith, Flags Through the Ages & Across the World, p.314)
The reverse side of the great seal is found on the left hand side of the One dollar bill. An unfinished tower is depicted & above that is the eye of providence (a masonic symbol for the eye of Lucipher). Shining out of the eye are the rays of the sun. It is agreed by all that this is a masonic symbol. Below the pyramid you’ll notice the inscription ‘NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM’ which means, New World Order. Above the pyramid is an inscription ‘ANNUIT COEPTIS’ which means ‘he has blessed our undertaking’. At the bottom of the pyramid you have the year 1976 in Roman Numerals.

There is clearly a link between the Roman standards & the Great Seal of the United States of America. The links to the Sun & Sun worship also cannot be ignored. After the flood in Genesis, we are given the beginnings of pagan worship which really accelerated from the roots of Noah’s son Ham and notably, Nimrod who commissioned the tower of Babel. In fact, most religions today, in some way, worship the sun – this is paganism & stemmed primarily from Egypt.

As we see current world events unfold right before our eyes, America is playing the leading role in everything. From wars to pestilences, vaccines & in particular the great lie – climate change.
